Captivating show delights Highfields, Littleport families

An energetic outdoor theatre show captivated families from Highfields, Littleport this summer as part of a community project.

The live theatre event by Story Pocket Theatre was performed in the sunshine in front of children of all ages, as part of The Library Presents Summer Season.

The lively performance of Storyteller, Storyteller, brought a fun blend of lively slapstick and clowning around mixed with the magic of storytelling to the event held at Yeomans Field, Barley Way.

The event was sponsored by homebuilder Cannon Kirk and was run by The Library Presents and followed on from a popular puppet show held in October last year.

Nathan Jones, The Library Presents Co-ordinator, said they were delighted with the turn out from families within the local community.

“Story Pocket Theatre delivered a captivating show and the sun shone making for a wonderful day. The Library Presents brings quality arts activities into towns and villages across Cambridgeshire. The programme is run by Cambridgeshire County Council, working in partnership with Babylon ARTS and is funded by Arts Council England,” he said.

Mandy Lott, sales manager for Cannon Kirk Homes added: “We had some great feedback once again from our families who went to see the performance and there were lots of smiles throughout the day.

“It is always very important for us to be able to support local events such as this one – and even better when the sun is shining,” she added
